Thanks Karen, he is The One and knows it. That is an old pillow, done lots of years ago. I call it The Gift. I think (hope) I am better at shading now (but maybe not)

happy Mother's Day!

I love the picture of Jack; he's such a smart boy to find the perfect bed.
Also love the needlepoint pillow behind him on the bed.

Great photo of His Royal Highness! The new canvases are lovely in their own way, but Himself is special. Are you going to have to sneak the duvet out when he's looking at Cat TV? LOL

Congratulations on getting so much done and finding new book sources. That's important to us stitchers.

Well, I don't think your posts are whining. They are "just the facts, Ma'am." Also, perhaps his/her rude comment was the actual whining.
You keep up your posts; we enjoy them.

I have no idea why folks post nasty comments. Obviously they didn't have my mother constantly telling them that if they don't have anything nice to say, to keep their mouth shut. Nasty comments can be quite a lot of fun, though. I maintain a video game blog for my husband but it's public, so anyone can wander by and sometimes folks do. After all, if Beloved is puzzled by where to find Crudock in Skyrim, a lot of other folks will be wondering the same thing. (That's the third most popular posting on that blog right now and has been for weeks.) Anyway, someone took offense at my posting the whereabouts of Crudock for some totally obscure reason I didn't understand and instead of signing their message they ended their comment with Dumb Ass, which they obviously meant as a comment about me. I pretended I thought that was their screen name, and I and several other visitors had great fun pretending to take Dumb Ass' ungrammatical and misspelled comments to heart. I did feel sorry for Dumb Ass eventually, though. It must be hard to be dumber than dirt and inarticulate to boot. After all, the Internet is ruled by those who can express themselves well. Those who are being nasty just show the world how bitter they are and come off very unsympathetic. So don't worry about any nasty comments Some folks like Dumb Ass have nothing better to do than be jerks. And they obviously haven't got anything better to do than try and find needlework books which are getting harder and harder to find. Thank goodness you do this for us! Saves me a lot of time and wasted effort.

I agree Jane, I think there is room here for everyone. I also think the wholesaler's attitudes will change, over time.

A lot of NP business folks want to sell only to brick and mortar stores. Many of those (but not all) have Internet sites, but many websites are not very functional when it comes to shopping online. That's about the only way I can shop as taking a day to drive to them isn't practical often. So I love Internet shops that do a good job like yours does. I think brick and mortar shops are unduly worried about Internet only stores. There just aren't that many and they tend to specialize. From the customer's standpoint, they are a good deal. From the wholesaler's, they just don't want to undercut regular shops. I can understand, although I do not agree.

Anyway, glad you are there, Marianne.
